Whether you're ready or not, it's here. A New Year with numerous New opportunities awaits us all. Let's dive in and get going!
We're planning to start 2025 with a shift straight from deer season to predator season chasing after coyotes and raccoons. But, to do that, we need some help. If you've ever used the Lucky Duck Riot predator call, please let us know what your favorite coyote sounds and sequences are. This is a new adventure for us and we're excited to learn.
Don't forget though, trapping season is also here. Our number one goal for trapping this year will be to get rid of as many nest robbers as possible. We have one property in particular on which the turkey population has steadily decreased throughout the years.
Increasing numbers of houses coupled with decreasing acreage of turkey habitat have really taken it's toll. While we realize habitat probably has a larger impact on the turkeys, this property also has a significant amount of raccoons that are always stealing our deer feed!
We've caught Covert WC32 and WC20 Trail Camera pictures night after night. This has to stop and stop soon!!
If you have any tips and tricks when it comes to using dog proof raccoon traps, please feel free to email robbie@reviewthisthingtv.com!
The fun doesn't stop there! We're also planning to attend a couple of different trade shows. In fact, the first one is next week: January 8 - January 10, 2025.
This will be our first time attending ATA and we're excited to see some old friends and meet some new ones. Of course, perusing through the newest archery and hunting gear in the industry is high on our list as well. Hopefully we find several new products that you will find exciting. If we do, you will get all the FACTS in our review!
This show is always like a huge family reunion and for the past several years I think we've had just as much fun seeing old friends as we have finding new turkey loads to try out. You can rest assured though, this show will likely SPUR on new turkey load and choke testing videos right in time for chasing those limb hangers.
Please let us know if we can expect to find you at either of these trade shows and we will make sure to connect. And especially let us know any tips and tricks for chasing coyotes or trapping raccoons.
Robbie has enjoyed the outdoors since he can remember. His earliest memories include hours upon hours of squirrel hunting and learning how to enjoy all aspects of hunting season in God's wonderful outdoors. Now he is always working hard and testing gear in the field to give you the best review and most thorough information he possibly can.
